» Also called Red-eared Lorikeet, Green Keet, and Musky Lorikeet
» About 9" in length and 60 grams
»  Endemic to eastern and southeastern Australia
» Named for a sweet musky smell that they exude
» Not common in aviculture or as a human companion
» They are unusual members of their family for a few reasons. One is that they tend to by shy and another is that they sleep outside of their nestbox at night.
» Considered stable in its range
