» Also known as Green parakeet
» Range from Mexico to northern Nicaragua (there is now a population in southeast Texas, which could be feral birds or possibly a wild population that came north from Mexico
» Three sub-species: A.h.holochlora, A.h.brewsteri, A.h.strenua (Pacific Conure)
» About 12 1/2” in length
» Populations are considered stable in their range.
» Part of a closely related group of conures that includes the Red-masked (Cherry-head), Cuban, Finsch’s, Green, Hispaniolan, and Wagler’s Conures
»  Kept as a conure companion but not as popular because they are not as colorful although they can have great personalities.
