The Grey-cheeked Parakeet Brotogeris pyrrhopterus by Nancy Ruffalo
When parrots were becoming more popular as a companion during the late 1970s, there was an absence of quality information about many species. Many aviculturists with knowledge often filled this void by self publishing publications. This may be the first publication devoted to this small parrot that was very popular when the booklet was published and for several years. These birds were imported in great numbers as "Pocket Parrot". They are less common now but there are still people raising them. There is a great deal of good information in this booklet.
