The Red-necked Amazon’s range is generally at a lower altitude than the than that of the Imperial in the mountains of Dominica although their ranges do overlap. Along with the Imperial Amazon, the Red-necked Amazon population was severly disturbed with all of the destruction on Dominica from Hurrican Maria in 2017. There were survivors but it is not clear yet how many.
