» About 7" in length with weight at about 35 grams
 One of the Lorikeets with a long pointy tail
» Endemic to central mountainous New Guinea
» Shouldn't be wintered outdoors since it is not a hardy lory
» Limited availability in aviculture

» Not a common companion Lory but they can be very playful, comical, and affectionate companion lorys but they need to be handled daily to keep them hand tame.
» Considered stable in their range
» Diet should consist of nectar, fresh fruits, and germinated seed. They don't do well on a powdered lory diet.
